Introducing "itAliens", the debut EP of Head of Communication!
Born out of the collaboration between Marco Vallini (vocals of Rome/California/Sweden's Rock/Country/Ska/Funk band Inbred Knucklehead) and Mini K (producer and frontman of Roman Funk/Rock act Mini K Bros), with the idea of making "Old School" Rap tunes while sampling contemporary Funk bands for a more modern sound (e.g. Calibro 35's "Notte in Bovisa" on "Italian Gangsta"), "itAliens" sums up the style of a year and a half of HoC dj-sets and live jams: solid Funk grooves where Marco's rhymes and beats (along with DJ Orthega's scratching skills and rearranged by Mini) meet live musicians from the Roman scene (Vazul from Parafusions on "itAlieno", Pepo from The Surfadelics on "Fuck Buddy", Mike from Inbred Knucklehead on "Funkazzista™") and beyond (London based Irish/Zimbabwean Soul singer Patrice Sweeney on "Fuck Buddy").

Fratelli d'Italia, non c'è da far festa:
le hanno tolto l'elmo e messo una TV in testa.
La chioma della Vittoria ormai non è che un accessorio,
ha le extension da quando è schiava di Montecitorio.
E siamo ancora calpesti e derisi.
E continuiamo a essere divisi.
Perché c'è solo un tratto che ci ha accomunato:
fregare per primo per non restarci fregato.

E ci lamentiamo tutti ma non cambia mai niente,
c'è chi incolpa i politici e chi incolpa la gente.
Gli Italiani sono sempre gli altri, quindi o tutti si distinguono
o forse la realtà è che gli Italiani non esistono.
E allora diventa un tipico Italiano
chiunque sia viscido, furbo o villano.
Nel linguaggio stesso il senso è negativo
se una cosa è “all'Italiana” e non si parla di cibo.

Ognuno si sente Romano, Padano,
Sardo, Tedesco, Europeo, Americano...
e forse anch'io non sono da meno
se in questo paese mi sento un alieno.
E poi chi si sente comunista, cristiano,
gay, più onesto, più biondo, più umano...
e allora anch'io non sono da meno
che, più che Italiano, mi sento “Italieno”.

Sono sempre stato onesto, poi
compiuti trent'anni ho smesso:
il giorno che ho perso il posto in favore
di un raccomandato corrotto. Allora
ho stretto patto su patto
con ogni sorta di farabutto
e vedessi la strada che ho fatto e
come d'un tratto incuto rispetto.

All'inizio ho soltanto aiutato
